Shady Pines Saloon, Darlinghurst

Welcome to Shady Pines Saloon. This is the doorway to where the goodies are. Let yourself in and you are met with one of the coolest collections of taxidermy-ed animals (and humans..!?!). On my first visit, I wasn't too sure what to feel because I've never been to such a place. But as I ease into the high stool and a Barrel-like table with a Pear Cider in hand, I came up with something - this place feels like a cabin. A huge cabin. You know those stereotypical hunter's cabin we normally see in movies? Imagine that but add a bar filled with great variety of whiskeys, beers and spirits in it. That's all I'll be saying. This place DON'T do functions or bookings - WHY? They've got an explanation for you on their website and it's great! Shady Pines Saloon keeps it real. WERD!! (hahahahahhahaha)

So if you're after that refreshing drink with a friend or two, this is your place. Come in and make yourself at home. And when you're done, feel free to walk around. You've got the ever charming Oxford street 20 steps away, a Bikram Yoga  theater next door, and if a simple stroll down the road will suffice, do that and you will be met by majestic wall arts from various underground Sydney artists.
