ZOOLOGIE HUNT

I'm currently digging this jacket at the moment. Its the new Hunter Jacket from Zoologie in olive. Besides having a perfect contour the length is also on point. But what I love most about it is the mixture of textures and materials. Predominantly cotton, it also has a woolen hood lining a smooth corduroy top panel and an awesome rope around the hood. It's great and Zoologie knows it. Retailing for $349.95 at the Capsule Store this one is a keeper.

Thank you: http://mashsf.com/

Wednesday, March 21

So, tomorrow would be my official travel without familial duties. Destination, Melbourne. Business or Leisure? I've been pre-prepared by many who know me that I will absolutely love it.

A bag (not a suitcase), equipped with neccessities (ipod, headphone, antibiotics, some clothes and shoes) .....yes I said antibiotics- long story folks; an open mind; my cameras... and were off !

Let's see what Melbourne has in store for me.

Let's talk quality meats

So, winter is just around the corner. And Sydney weather have been making sure we realise the inevitable approach of winter. But with that lousy, almost pathetic summer we just had, I can't wait! As soon as the first drop of winter goods arrived- red cotton gloves, as a graduation gift from my friend, the excitement have not ceased. So, were back here. Before I begin, I want to mention the crucial point that the best thing about my work is the lovely people that make it amazing. I've got the coolest boss and he has introduced me to so many crazy shi in the world in his time and now. So one day, he got talking about DQM. They've got the usual tee, cap, chinos but because of all the winter vibe i've been getting, here are some of the cool things that have captured my attention!!

This winter. Beanies and Socks.

Fucken right.

Minimal wears Uniform Wares

So, Uniform Wares.

Just as when you thought the minmalist movement was nearly a century ago, pop culture brings it back to life and minimal is still grand. This entry is about a British contemporary timepiece producer, Uniform Wares. Born in 2009 this fairly new company's philosophy is to create timepieces that serve both practicality and aesthetics using the most minimalist designs. Watches are for telling time - Uniform Wares incorporates this by the simple yet dramatic contrast between the watch face, dial and time markers. Kinda reminds you of those dead boring clocks you see in examination halls. We all dread them, but they are darn good at telling time! What else do you need a watch for? These everyday wrist watches are a mixed of Japan and Swiss movement, and the conception, development and designing process take place in London. It ranges from a simple everyday wear, their 100- 250 series which are about $175- $600 to the more sophisticated chronograph 300 series watch, which is about $800.

Like many international goods, stockists of Uniform Wares in Australia are fairly limited. Sydney has them in INCU - Paddington and both mens and women The Galleries store. INCU Melbourne- Flinders and Albert Coates Lane.

Heart to Hart

Remember that Seafolly ad campaign where we all wondered why the industry would hire a model with a gap between her front teeth? That's Jessica Hart. Well the answer is because she's still pretty damn hot even WITH the gap. Some are just blessed with aesthetics. And to add to that, shes got some more great energy to contribute to the fashion design industry. Yes, perhaps nowadays everything seem to look the same - everyone is experimenting with different materials, some work some don't. Let me introduce you to Neon Hart. Jess Hart's very own label for General Pants. Now I can see some smirks and some huffs and puffs, well I if a good thing is working then why not create more. And when traveling, saving, moving out, career is the current priority why not be able to ride in style? Neon Hart in this light, gets two thumbs up :)

These are my two favourites. The sheer slouch tee. Opaque at the front and sheer at the back. Just the way it should be. With a nice lingerie bra, you are set, not for a slutty night out but a sexy and mysterious one. For those who can't find the different between 'slutty' and sexy. Or perhaps fail to separate having lingerie and lace to prostitution - well you need to open your mind more, idiot. If not, back the fuck up.

Sheer lace top

The Pu Bustier captures that minimalistic touch mixed with a little bit S&M ambience to it. I bought something similar from Bettina Liano for my birthday a while back and I've only worn it once and the wire frames just failed me long before the night ended.. I find this slightly more appealing actually because of the addition of shoulder straps and just that minimalistic design to it. And it's cheaper.

Sometimes, 'brands' shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of your decision to purchase.

making it up to you

I have to admit, I haven't been a good citizen of the inter-web. Reason? Hmmmm I can try my hardest to pick on a few things, but they would all sounds like excuses and we don't want that. So I've cleaned up this white mess and I hope you like the subtle changes. Thought it a fantastic idea to keep it neat and simple :) Hope it's a little easier to navigate around the contents of this page. You have your main blog coloumn. On your right, is the usual followers, music, labels, shopping links, the 20% off voucher for Tobi.com and archives. The difference is that the "newspaper" section, where you all get to see the other lovely artists and writers that continue to inspire me, is now at the bottom of the blog coloumn. I am aiming to grow this list when I get a hold of Chronos and ask him to spare me some time, as I seem to be battling with the shortness of days (even though it's daylight savings) and the amount of work I have to get done (at least aiming to do!) ! Anyway, I hope y'all like it. Because I do. So excited of the Blogger app, I can't seem to contain it ! Hahahahahha!

I'll leave you with some of the amazing finds from Tobi. I forgot what an assortment they provide - brand names, local and everything that necessary for your ensemble is here. And I thought they were crazily expensive, but I'm not sure.... the prices seem to be alright !!

A must have: Pencil skirt.

In black

Feeling rogue? : Cassidy Denim Jacket

Nightie or Outie? : Lace Trim Rayon Shorts

What do you guys think?
